After two and a half years that have seen significant growth in impact and fundraising for African conservation, Tusk CEO Nick Bubb has stepped down from Tusk to pursue a new chapter and is replaced by Tusk President Charlie Mayhew OBE.

The Board are incredibly grateful to Nick for his contribution to our mission over the last couple of years. He has brought considerable energy and commitment to Tusk and leaves the organisation in a strong position having overseen significant milestones for the charity – helping raise a record £15.6 million last year as well as overseeing the move to Tusk’s new offices, bringing excellent new colleagues into the team, and new, strong fundraising partnerships. 

We have been lucky to have someone of his experience to lead us through a challenging period for Africa’s conservation community. Nick is a leader of real vision, and he has also been a wonderful friend to me and the Board. He leaves with our gratitude and best wishes for what will continue to be an outstanding career.

Going forward, Tusk are lucky that Charlie Mayhew has agreed to take the CEO helm once again as we continue to implement our strategy to grow our impact and make the biggest contribution we can for people and nature in Africa.
