Through a partnership between Tusk and Send a Cow, the Living with Wildlife Appeal has successfully raised more than its target of £760,000 to upskill local communities and create new livelihood opportunities which can lift people out of poverty and protect wildlife. The funds raised will also support vital conservation work so that local communities appreciate the wildlife and become guardians of Murchison Falls National Park.
The UK government will match all public donations that were given between 15 January and 14 April 2020. Donations received to the appeal will help vulnerable people and wildlife living in Uganda, as well as supporting other similar work across Africa.
We are incredibly grateful to everybody who donated to the appeal, and the UK government for its support. We’d also like to add a special note of thanks to Levison Wood, Ash Bhardwaj, Simon King, Deborah Meaden, Africa Exclusive, Longleat and everyone at Send a Cow for all their amazing contributions to the great success of the appeal.
