Deep Blue Crew Bow into Second Place

The Deep Blue Crew have just completed the World's Toughest Row Atlantic in 39 days and 6 hours and 55 minutes securing second place overall.

Congratulations to the Deep Blue Crew; Paddy, Gus, Jack and Matt for rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic in 39 days 6 hours and 55 minutes, placing second in all boats and second in the four-person boat. We are hugely grateful that they have chosen to support Tusk as one of their charities, alongside My Name’5 Doddie and the Clock Tower Foundation.

Throughout their row they were visited by lots of wildlife including a whale breaching close to the boat, some amazing sunrises and sunsets, and even managed some time in between rowing on and off for two hours to do some fishing. We are incredibly proud of the sheer physical and mental strength the whole team demonstrated during the challenge, as well as providing entertaining and educational updates on their Instagram page – check out @DeepBlueCrew_ to get a sense of the conditions and challenges they faced over the 39 days.

The Deep Blue Crew exceeded their original fundraising target of £100,000 and have raised an impressive £116,000+, with a percentage of that going towards Tusk to distribute to our amazing project partners working on the ground in Africa to support communities and safeguard wildlife and their habitats – thank you Deep Blue Crew.

If you are inspired by the teams dedication and hard work, please show your support by donating to their fundraiser and help support Tusk partners as well.
