Have you always wanted to take part in a challenge fundraiser for Tusk but aren’t a runner, so London, Bath or Lewa seem a bit too much of an unrealistic challenge? What about a trek along a spectacular World Heritage coastline in Dorset. Take the steps towards protecting wildlife and communities in Africa and do your bit. Every step counts!
The route:
You can choose between a full or half marathon distance and there are some easy-access parts of the route for wheelchair users/prams so this is an all inclusive event and we would love for you to join. Trekkers who want to tackle the full 40km route will start at the iconic and stunning Durdle Door and make their way along the beautiful and undulating South West Coastal Path, crossing the finish line in Studland for a well-deserved glass of bubbly. Trekkers who want to attempt the half distance (which works out at just over 20km), will start at Worth Matravers and follow the same challenging path along the shore until they reach Studland so that the whole team can celebrate together! Don’t worry, there will be maps and signs so you won’t get lost, as well as members of the Tusk team to guide you.
If you’re worried about fitness levels before signing up, you can see both elevation profiles for 40km and 20km treks below.
