The Tusk Conservation Awards celebrate the extraordinary work of dedicated conservationists from across Africa, whose work and lives might otherwise go unnoticed outside their fields. The 2020 Awards ceremony will be a virtual event.
The 2020 Tusk Conservation Awards will take place on Thursday 3rd December 6pm GMT at www.tuskawards.com.
Register your interest here to receive updates about the event and an exclusive programme for the evening.
The annual Tusk Conservation Awards were established in 2013 in partnership with Ninety One and in conjunction with HRH The Duke of Cambridge, to celebrate successful conservation that is being undertaken throughout Africa by individuals who are dedicated to their work and cause.
The Awards have become an accolade in the truest sense, and recognise the unsung heroes of conservation, who are nominated by their peers without their prior knowledge, in recognition of their outstanding and inspirational efforts to conserve Africa’s natural heritage.
Now in its eighth year, the 2020 Awards ceremony will for the first time be a purely virtual event, on account of the restrictions imposed by Covid-19.
The event will be a celebration of all that can be achieved against the odds, and we are extremely honoured that BBC Presenter Kate Silverton will be our online host for the evening, and Adventurer & TV Personality Bear Grylls will introduce the Tusk Ranger Award. Entertainment for the broadcast will include a performance from best-selling singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti.
To find out how you can watch the ceremony, and for more information about the event, please contact info@tusk.org.
We would like to thank Ninety One for their valuable partnership since the inception of the Awards, and co-sponsors Land Rover, the Nick Maughan Foundation, ISPS Handa, Mantis, Patrick Mavros, and Fortemus & Maia Films, Ethiopian Airlines, Shelton Fleming and EJF Philanthropies for their support.
