Putting a Stop to Illegal Wildlife Trade
Thursday 22nd September
Time for Change was an historic global event to raise awareness of the plight of Africa’s wildlife. The simultaneous event in London, Tokyo and Johannesburg delivered powerful conservation messages and calls to action ahead of the opening of the CITES conference, when the world’s attention will be focused on tackling the burgeoning illegal wildlife trade.
Addresses were delivered by:
- HRH The Duke of Cambridge, from The View from the Shard, London
- Philanthropist Dr Haruhisa Handa, from The Park Hyatt Hotel, Tokyo
- CITES Secretary-General John Scanlon, from The Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg
